Adam Torres Celebrates EP Release at Cactus Cafe Saturday, February 25

Following up last year’s critically acclaimed, widely beloved, and long awaited album Pearls to Swine, songwriter Adam Torres is already back with a new EP, I Came to Sing the Song, out today on Fat Possum. He will celebrate the release of that EP with a show tomorrow night at the Cactus Cafe, which launches a short string of dates through several midwestern and eastern states. Torres’ new EP is a brief collection of meditations on songwriting itself, anchored by the title track. With impeccable voice control and a gorgeous falsetto, Torres unfurls songs of simplicity that access motifs of universal significance, such as individual purpose and the transitory nature of reality. As with his recent album, these songs are heartrending and gorgeous.
