Moonface Shares New Video for “Barbarian”

Moonface released their new album “Julia with Blue Jeans On” today on Jagjaguwar. The former Wolf Parade member finds himself constructing an album of deeply moving tracks as exhibited in the new video for lead album track “Barbarian.” Both the song and video are stark and intimate. In the video, three kids dance on grainy home video circa 1980, but the participant to the far right appears particularly bashful. And that shy participant is Spencer Krug. As dark piano chords resonate, we hear Krug’s earnest vocals as we observe a young version of the artist struggling to feel self confidence. The effect is striking and emotionally arresting.
