“Interference Fits,” the new track from punk band Perfect Pussy is aptly titled. Almost melodic, crunchy guitar opens the song before it drifts into sputtering drums and swirling loops of feedback and distortion. At a minute and a half in, the song breaks, and dives back in with a barrage of echoing, multi-tracked vocals–the texture and sonic onslaught are marvelous to witness. The band, with Meredith Graves at the helm, are poised to launch their music career to even greater heights with several high profile SXSW shows, including the NPR Day Party at Stubb’s on March 12th. The group’s debut LP Say Yes to Love drops March 18th via Captured Tracks. Stream “Interference Fits” below.
