While I highly doubt anyone reading this blog is being informed for the first time that The National will be in Austin for three nights next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at ACL Live, there are plenty of reasons to talk about this show. For one, the band will be joined by openers, all-girl band Warpaint. For another, it should be commended that rather than opt for an enormous amphitheater show, the band has elected to perform multiple nights in a more intimate environment. Beyond that, the choice of ACL Live as that venue speaks to the band’s awareness of how important a nice sound setup is for their show. The National’s recent album Trouble Will Find Me was one of my favorite of the year in 2013, and we’re greatly looking forward to seeing them at ACL Live on Monday evening. There are still a few tickets remaining for their final night for interested parties. Below you can watch the band’s video for album standout “Graceless.”
