Owen Pallett Shares Video “Song for Five & Six” Ahead of New Album

Ballet feels like an appropriate visual component to accompany the sounds of experimental pop violinist Owen Pallett. Like ballet dancers and ballet itself, Pallett’s music is graceful, beautiful, dexterous and powerful. The video for “Song for Five & Six” was directed by Jeff Scheven and choreographed by Robert Binet. Dancers featured in the video include Madysen Felber, Patrick Foster, Shizuru Kato, Clare Peterson, Liam Redhead and Keito Yamamoto.  Pallett had previously announced that his new album would come out on May 13th, but that date has been pushed back to May 27th and is still slated to be released via Domino Records. Our expectations are high for Pallett’s new effort as he’s quietly become an independent music mainstay over the last decade. Watch the video for “Song for Five & Six” below.
