Pink Mountaintops newest effort Get Back, released by Jagjaguwar in April was full of no frills rock ‘n’ roll. A spirit that was more than clear when we spoke with frontman Stephen McBean during Austin Psych Fest a couple months ago. McBean’s music as well as this new video capture an age of living free, skateboarding, and wrecking shit for no reason. The video was directed by Brook Linder and includes a nod to Dylan’s famous “Subterranean Homesick Blues” video as McBean stands with cue cards of lyrics at various points. The song’s dark, synth-tinged interlude is marked by chaotic night-time footage, excellently incorporated by Linder. Watch the video below.
