After a period of inactivity from 2007 to 2012, beloved, cult-like collective The Polyphonic Spree released two albums in 2012 and 2013 and have been increasingly active in playing shows and festivals. Tomorrow, Austin will have the opportunity to see the band’s fantastic spectacle of a live show at Central Presbyterian Church. The downtown church venue hosts some of the most memorable and sonically pristine shows I can recall, and we can’t state strongly enough how much we encourage you to go. The show comes early in the band’s extensive North American tour and leads up to the release of a remix album that will contain songs from the band’s most recent album Yes, It’s True. So much extra incentive in great openers Sarah Jaffe and Burgess Meredith. Watch the video for “You Don’t Know Me” from that album, below. Get tickets here now. This will sell out soon.
