The Versus Project feat. Borrisokane, Young Tongue, & Knifight Live at Scoot Inn on Saturday

borrisokane_versus_projectWe couldn’t be more excited about seeing a live incarnation of the bands who participated in The Versus Project. We’ve written about it time and time again, even premiered a track or two, but in case you’re still in the dark on this project, here’s what it is: mastermind and Borrisokane drummer Josh Denslow recruited seven outstanding Austin bands to record a box set of EPs. On each EP is Borrisokane and one of the other six bands doing new material as well as covering each others songs. Very cool. And we aren’t the only ones who think so; local concert series 101X Homegrown Live will sponsor the show!

The Scoot Inn’s website describes the show like this: “For one night only all seven bands will take the stage. There are no set times. This is a night of music performed in two acts with surprises throughout–members of Borrisokane, Major Major Major, Young Tongue, Home By Hovercraft, Knifight, Pageantry, YUM.” We believe it. According to inside knowledge directly from some of the bands performing, the night will features some unique and special performances and covers. You want to be there. Tickets are only $7 in advance, available right here, and come with a free mp3. Tickets are $10 at the door. Below you can stream some music from the project.
