Electro-prophets Mark McGuire released “Noctilucence” this Tuesday, the title track off their new EP released via Dead Oceans. This is the second release of the year from the Cleveland, OH native, who delivers a steady electronic pulse that derives its energy from “[the Microbes] taking real shape. Opening with a mantra to the perpetual regeneration of the spirit of love, crying out for new levels of confidence and consciousness to emerge from the human race, Noctilucence is a deep stare into the infinite eye of the shimmering night sky of the future, and all it holds in its gaze.” Ambitious and progressive, at least in its vision, the track reaches a full twelve minutes.
