A quiet buzz has surrounded the fact that lauded folk rock band The Head and the Heart’s members Jonathan Russell and Josiah Johnson will make an appearance tonight at South Austin hangout Radio Coffee. In truth, the coffee joint also serves as beer garden and live music venue, and has quickly made a name for itself by booking some outstanding shows including Sweet Spirit’s EP release show and a solid run of SXSW events. The last time The Head and the Heart were in town, they sold out back to back night’s at Stubb’s, so this rare intimate experience at radio coffee comes highly recommended for true fans. Did I mention that the show is FREE? A few touring acts — Carleigh Atkins and Brent Garis — along with Austin band The Deer hold down opening duties. See you there.
