Track Review: “Second Television” – Mission of Burma

As we previously reported, punk legends Mission of Burma have announced a new album, and have already released one single from that forthcoming LP. Now, the group has released another track, “Second Television,” from their impending album, Unsound. While “Dust Devil” saw a thoroughly ruckus Mission of Burma, “Second Television” showcases a slightly more polished side. The track still contains the group’s trademark cacophony and chaos, but beneath those elements lies a more melodic arrangement. Together the tracks show complex variety that we only hope typifies the remaining songs on the album. If so, July will bring us another fine record from a stalwart punk band.
