Wavering, surfy guitars ring out over frontman Gianni Sarmiento’s distorted vocals in this infectious little noise pop song from Crocodile. A broken lightbulb, a wooden robot, cacti, and of course a crocodile make up the cast in the increasingly surreal and trippy video just released for “My Little Girl.” The song is culled from Crocodile’s newest collection of lyrically driven indie pop songs, Love During Wartime. Thriving on major key melodies and heartfelt sentiment, the album’s well-developed arrangements and penchant for an occasional chaotic eruption of distortion ensures these little gems are fresh and bold.
