Eerie, moaning strings and gently squealing guitar feedback serves as the backbone for “Seaworthy,” a track culled from New Zealand band The Renderers upcoming LP, In the Sodium Light. Due out via Ba Da Bing Records on February 26th, the album is the band’s ninth, and expands an oeuvre of respected experimental rock issued by stalwart indie upstart labels like Flying Nun, Ajax, and Three Beads of Sweat. “Seaworthy” churns mysteriously, refusing to pander to conventional sensibilities yet still managing to burrow into the listeners consciousness and to demand repeat listens. Check out the track below and pre-order the album here.
