It seems insane that the first Siren Sound Temple happened a year ago. The epic event that features an extensive bill of local bands and emphasizes female musicians and artists returns for its second annual event this Saturday, February 20 hosted by Nine Mile Records and Touring and sponsored by Brooklyn Brewery, & Squatters/Wasatch. The event moves from Cheer Up Charlies to Barracuda. The lineup features an array of bands that represent variety in style and genre ranging from folk to punk to hip hop, including A Giant Dog, Purple, Magna Carda, Moving Panoramas, Tinnarose, Mama K & The Shades, Löwin, Madd Comrades. AMA, JEFF, Trouble In The Streets, Sailor Poon. Tickets are only $10, so it’s a hell of a deal and offers little reason not to show up at the Barracuda on Saturday night. If you need more convincing, stream some tracks by a few of the great bands playing the bill below.
