Women-centered HIVE Arts Collective Hosts Benefit Show Saturday

hive_collectiveHosting workshops and events for women artists in a variety of disciplines including zine-making and experimental film, HIVE Arts Collective identifies as a creative community fostering accessible artistic development and collaboration for women of all experiences in Austin, TX. This Saturday at the Museum of Human Achievement, HIVE will host an event benefitting their creative community. The evening, dubbed HIVE MIND, will feature bands scoring female empowerment films, and all proceeds support future programming for HIVE, including visiting artists, lectures, critiques, and workshops.

The event will also feature booths by BossBabes ATX, Colectiva Cósmica, and Bibliographia, among others; activities such as button-making, screenprinting, and shirt embroidery by Crafts & Arts Clothing; and a collaborative melted floral installation led by Christa Palazzolo. Some drinks and snacks will be provided by sponsors Austin Eastciders, 4th Tap Brewing Co-Op, Lone Star, and SkynnyPop Popcorn. Doors open at 7:00 and films begin at 8:00.
