An indie rock veteran and a young, up-and-coming band will share a bill at The Sidewinder this Wednesday night. Kevin Morby was once the bassist for Woods and a founding member of garage rock band The Babies before he launched a solo career with Harlem River in 2013. Morby will be touring in support of his recently released, critically acclaimed third album, Singing Saw. Likely a name less familiar, Big Thief is a recent signee of Omaha’s Saddle Creek Records. The band creates heavy, driving folk-influenced rock, and their debut LP Masterpiece has been hailed as an outstanding first showing. Both bands are known for performing emotive, powerful live sets, and we’re looking forward to this show, tickets for which are only ten bucks and are available now. Hear tracks by both artists below. See you at the Sidewinder Wednesday!
