Post punk outfit Buke and Gase have announced that their forthcoming full-length will be entitled “General Dome” and will be released via Brassland Records on January 29th. The album art for the record employs a cryptic, encoded alphabet inspired by a Sol LeWitt exhibition at the Dia Beacon museum in Beacon, NY. This week, the band shared the title track from that album. The track begins with an extended section of spastic, distorted guitar and repetitive tambourine before introducing Arone Dyer’s vocals and building to an explosive, swirling ending in the song’s final minute. It reminds me of cerebral bands like Blonde Redhead mixed with less polished turn-of-the-century bands like Rainer Maria. You can stream the track below. Additionally, Buke and Gase have announced a tour, and a listing of dates can be found after the stream.
