Flying Lotus has released a cinematically stunning new video for their song “Tiny Tortures,” taken from their recent album Until the Quiet Comes. Starring Elijah Wood, the video begins with dark, brooding sounds that parallel the tragedy of a man who has lost his arm (Wood). However, as the song’s busy, upbeat clicks and synths kick in, our character’s miscellaneous, everyday items conspire to provide him a bionic arm of sorts before he strolls through a colorful dream world with his organic arm fully restored. Though the video’s end might not be considered a complete victory, Wood’s smile celebrates the triumph of imagination and the power of the human mind. Watch “Tiny Tortures” above.
