Foxygen has released a new video for their song “Shuggie,” from the forthcoming full length We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace and Magic, out January 22nd on Jagjaguwar. With each new listen, I become more of a fan of the cool, unaffected sway of their distinct pop that easily blends 70s grooves, orchestral elements, and 60s rock. To support this ever-shifting tapestry of styles and sounds, the video, shot in black and white, centers on a mysterious black box that characters run with, purchase, listen to as a record, and place upon the dinner table for consumption. This transfixation leads to a surprsing and surreal ending. Watch above.
