Austin band Pure X has shared a third new track from their forthcoming album, Crawling Up the Stairs, which will see release May 14th on Acephale Records. We previously heard outstanding tracks, “Things In My Head,” and “Someone Else,” and have now released “Thousand Year Old Child.” From this sample of songs from the album, we can be sure that the album will move in new directions both among the tracks and in comparison to Pure X’s previous material. “Thousand Year Old Child” features falsetto vocals and acoustic guitars as well as crunchy electrics that drift passively. It’s a great song, and we’re looking forward to Crawling Up the Stairs more than ever. Stream “Thousand Year Old Child” below.
