The Books of Love is a newly announced project built on the collaboration of Katy Goodman of Vivian Girls/La Sera fame and the Hush Sound’s Greta Morgan. Plenty of bands have created saccharine indie-pop fueled by female vocal melodies and upbeat percussion. It’s practically an American pastime, but I do believe I’ve loved them more than the average indie-rock fan. As something of a purveyor of this brand of pop that stretches back through the Softies and Talulah Gosh all the way to the Shangri Las and The Cyrstals, I can tell you that the Books of Love have nailed it on this single. “Space Time” is infinitely catchy and adorable. Just hook me straight to the source; I’m addicted. Fingers crossed for a future full-length. Stream “Space Time” below via Bandcamp.
