The Lonely Wild create acoustically driven, elaborate folk music angled toward celebrated bands such as The Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel, or Beirut. Epic, minor-key choral chants, claps, kick drums and tambourine punctuate pianos and guitars on “Buried In The Murder,” the primary single from the band’s recently released album The Sun As It Comes. The album is a solid showing from a young band, but you don’t have to take only our word for it; Austin Town Hall has has also given the record praise–see here. Wavering brass defines another recently released track “Everything You Need.” The band will hit Austin’s Holy Mountain this Sunday May 26th.
