If a band is cool, there seems to be a high likelihood that Hardly Art will sign them. From Shannon and the Clams to Deep Time to hidden gems like Lost Animal, Hardly Art Records constantly releases some of the best independent label music around. So, it makes complete sense that after I was floored by an outstanding performance by Seattle’s La Luz last month, the group has announced a full-length album for Hardly Art. Following a sold out tape on Burger Records and a 7″ on Suicide Squeeze, It’s Alive will be their first LP and will see release on October 15th. What’s more is that the surf-garage quartet will tour with of Montreal in the fall, including a November 15th show at Austin’s Mohawk. Below you can stream “Big Big Blood,” the first track to emerge from the forthcoming full-length, in all its surf-pop glory. The contrast of the upbeat surf and the dark vocals works perfectly. Full tour date listing follows the track embed.
