And that\u2019s not a bad thing. Earthy vocals and a low, crunchy guitar balance pretty guitar parts on \u201cDevil,\u201d the first track to emerge from <i>Fear In Bliss<\/i>, a new LP that will see release on April 14<sup>th<\/sup> through Bella Union.<\/p>\n<p>Horse Thief has come up through a local scene, working hard to play bills with bands in Oklahoma as well as nearby Texas cities such as Dallas and Austin. The band\u2019s dedication and impressive songwriting ability has progressively expanded their following and even caught the ear of OKC hero Wayne Coyne with whom the band traded covers\u2014Horse Thief performing The Flaming Lips\u2019 \u201cTry to Explain\u201d and The Lips performing \u201cI Am A Bear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This Friday, Horse Thief will perform at Holy Mountain on a bill that also features standout local and regional acts Black Books, Pageantry, and Shivery Shakes.
